Grandma, what's your favourite meal? What was Grandpa's favourite food? What did you eat during the war? Was your mum strict with you? Were you strict with my mum? Which party do you vote for? How old were you when your father was killed? When were you happiest? What is your favourite thing to cook? Does the AFD scare you? How are you doing?
In this video work, I portray my grandma and explore the topics of cuisine, identity, generations and politics through her. The video poses the question of who owns traditions and who claims them for themselves.
