Gestohlene Assets, bizarre Referenzen, uralte Technik:
die Entstehung eines Indie-Spiels
This work offers an insight into the world of independently published video games, known as indie games. Unlike large game producers, indie game developers usually have limited resources and often work in small teams. But it is precisely these limitations that seem to foster fascinating and innovative aesthetics. A video essay examines how available resources, market trends, and other media can shape the design of indie games. The video game created as part of this work illustrates what can be achieved without prior knowledge of game design and within a limited time frame, and how this can give rise to a unique aesthetic.
