The cultural practice of drinking alcohol is undergoing change: whether beer, sparkling wine, or spirits—non-alcoholic alternatives to conventional products are becoming increasingly popular. These alcohol-free variants often disguise themselves as alcoholic beverages in order to cater to consumers’ cultural habits and to be situated within the context of alcohol consumption.

Null Null examines the bottles and labels of non-alcoholic beverage alternatives and engages with their formal and conceptual aspects. The publication reflects the spirit of contemporary drinking culture and questions the appropriation of familiar (visual) language by things that pretend to be something they are not.
